    Given to understand

I have tried to used "given to understand," which is a formal phrase, in my sentence. I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural.

I was called to the board room, where I was criticised and given to understand I was not welcome in the company any longer.

    Re: Given to understand

I would use "... I was no longer welcome in the company".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
