    field of studying in humanity

In high school, the fields of studying are categorized into Math-and-Physics, Experimental Sciences, Humanitarian Sciences/Humanities Sciences, ...
For the last field of studying, which term could be used? Humanitarian Sciences or Humanities Sciences?
    Thank you

Re: field of studying in humanity

The term normally used is "Social Sciences". That includes sociology, anthropology, psychology and others. Humanities is a different thing: literature, philosophy, history.
The social sciences use the scientific method and statistics. Statistics are not used in the humanities. I've never heard of any thing like "humanities science". It's a contradiction.

Then there are various "studies" courses: gender studies, race studies, etc. most of which, I believe, are based more on ideology than any rigorous fact-finding methodologies.
