    In my opinion, that's a poor question. We don't normally add a tag question to sentences starting with "I hear". Following the standard grammatical rules, the answer should be A) "don't I", because the tag question usually contains the same "person" as the sentence (in this case, first person singular). However, no native speaker would ever say that.
    If you remove "I hear", the answer is clear - "John is going back to London next week, isn't he?" (answer B).

    I would guess the writer was looking for "isn't he?" but wasn't clear on how to construct a good sentence to attract a tag question.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
