I want to start taking pills, you know, a little help.

    Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"I want to start taking pills, you know, a little help. It is a powerful drug. They sold it only by prescription."

    Thanks.

Sentences 2 and 3 are correct. "A little help" is disconnected from the rest of sentence 1; I don't know what you're trying to say there.

If the three sentences are meant to relate to one another, the verb in sentence 3 should be in the present simple.

    Dear GoesStarion

First of all, thanks for your help.

"I want to start taking pills, you know, a little help. It is a powerful drug. They sell it only by prescription."

He is taking pills to lose weight. So he is having a "little help" to lose weight with the pills.

    Thanks!

He could say "I want to start taking diet pills to get a little help losing weight. It's a powerful drug that's only available by prescription."
