All marriage proposals Nora turned down

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural.

All marriage proposals Nora turned down because, as she told people, she valued her freedom more than anything.

Is there a good reason why you used "All marriage proposals Nora turned down ..." instead of the usual "Nora turned down all marriage proposals ..."?

Re: All marriage proposals Nora turned down

I only wanted to see if this word order was possible in my sentence.

It's possible but I found it awkward to read.

Re: All marriage proposals Nora turned down

If I were an editor, I'd re-order the sentence immediately. I don't find it possible as written. If you begin with All marriage proposals Nora turned down, you have to continue by saying something specifically about the proposals. I think you need a definite article, too. You could say All the marriage proposals Nora turned down were from eminently suitable men.
