    I can't figure the use of 'that' out in the following.I need help.

    How is that relevant to this discussion.

    Here, it is a reference to something mentioned earlier.
    For example,
    A: What do you suggest we serve for dinner tomorrow?

    I would use "that", not "which", in the above

    It's way too wordy. Try:
    I have excellent typing skills.
