I am trying to describe the above drawing. My examples are as follows:
- A bank and a hospital are respectively located at distances of 5km and 8km from the respective ends, nearer thereto, of a road.
- A bank and a hospital are respectively located at distances of 5km and 8km from the respective nearer ends of a road.
Specifically, I would like to write a single sentence that includes all the following four points:
- The distance between the bank and one of two opposite ends of the road is 5km.
- The distance between the hospital and the other of the two opposite ends of the road is 8km.
- The one of the two opposite ends of the road is nearer to the bank than to the hospital.
- The other of the two opposite ends of the road is nearer to the hospital than to the bank.
I would like to describe using relative words such as "nearer" rather than absolute words such as the left end and the right end.
Could you please advise me on whether my examples make sense.
