Bob sensed that his shop's days were numbered

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural. Would you please correct my mistakes?

Bob sensed that his shop's days were numbered and he was already making plans to move to another town and start a new business.

    Sounds perfectly natural to me.

Re: Bob sensed that his shop's days were numbered

I'd probably replace the first "and" with a semi-colon or with the word "so".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    emsr2s2,

    Thank you for your advice.
I am wondering if I replace "and" with "so," do I need a comma after "numbered."

Re: Bob sensed that his shop's days were numbered

You could think about a stronger verb than sensed, given that he is making firm plans. How about knew/felt sure, etc?
