    Because Anna's father did not let her go out

    I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural.

    Because Anna's father did not let her go out with her friends, she sulked the whole next day.

    "The whole day next day" is not correct.

    Thank you for your help.
    I wrote that tedmc's version was incorrect because it sounded odd to my ears. Now I know that I was wrong.
