"As far as I'm concerned" is a phrase that indicates you are about to express your opinion on something.

"As far as I'm concerned, Queen is the greatest band of all time."

It also sometimes implies that you have little or no interest in the subject at hand; it just doesn't matter to you.

"That drunken husband of mine can stay out all night as far as I'm concerned. I just don't care what he does anymore."

CALD gives that "as far as sb is concerned" means "in a particular person's opinion," so you may say:
"As far as I am concerned, this book is not only fantastic, it is also very enlightening," what simple means "In my opinion, this book is..."
Dear teachers, is your opinion on this the same? Is there any difference between using "as far as sb is concerned" and "in a particular person's opinion"? Is it just a matter of style?

    Re: ***Help**

In formal writing, I would probably be less likely to use 'as far as x is concerned' as a way of introducing another's opinion as it could seem dismissive.
