And if you have a minute, look up the difference between lonely and lonesome.
Lonely is fine, but you might prefer lonesome. It's a good word to know, anyway.

I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural.
The lonely cry of a crow broke the silence of the winter morning, reminding me of my own loneliness.

I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
"Lonesome" is rarely used in BrE. I associate it with AmE, specifically with the Elvis Presley song "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" and the song "On the Trail of the Lonesome Pine" which I recall is something to do with Laurel and Hardy.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
