    I think C is correct. Because the man didn't return home. So did not need to wait for him. Am I right? Thank you!

    Mike, you have to put spaces between words. You just have to. It's not optional. Otherwise, Englishwouldlooklikethis.
    I'm not a teacher. I speak American English. I've tutored writing at the University of Southern Maine and have done a good deal of copy editing and writing, occasionally for publication.
