The company intends to put the purchases of two hundred thousand metric tonnes of ...

    Hello.

Could you tell me if the sentence below sound normal English?

    - "The company intends to put the purchases of two hundred thousand metric tonnes of corn and two hundred thousand metric tonnes of soybean meal out to tender internationally".

    Many thanks.

It would be easier to read if you used numbers not words. For any number over twenty (some style guides suggest ten), we don't write the number out in words.

200,000 metric tonnes of corn and 200,000 metric tonnes of soybean meal ...
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
