    the funniest in your family

    1) Who's the funniest in your family?
    2) Who's the funniest member of your family?
    3) Who's the funniest member in your family?

Are the three sentences above grammatically right? Which is the most common of the three, in everyday English?

    Re: Superlatives /preposition

I would say (1) is most common. "Member" is understood.

1 and 2 are correct. 3 is wrong. My guess is that number 2 is more common than 1, but that's only a guess.
