    finding the truth and showing

    Hi,

The aims of this investigation are finding the truth and showing the innocence of the victim.

    or

The aims of this investigation are to find the truth and show the innocence of the victim.

The latter one seems pretty correct to me. I am just wondering if the former one is correct.

Re: finding the truth and showing

The first is unnatural. The second needs to show.

It's OK in BrE without "to" before "show".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
