Ted came back from the kitchen with a tray of beers and nachos

    Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Ted came back from the kitchen with a tray of beers and nachos. Walking towards the living room, he realized that his friend Kevin was totally absorbed by the hockey match. Once he sat next to Kevin, he took the beer."

    Thanks.

I don't understand the highlighted part.

Re: Ted came back from the kitchen with a tray of beers and nachos

Dear teechar: One again thanks for your help.

I tried to write that Ted sat down in the living (with beer and nachos) next to Kevin and then, Kevin take a beer from Ted.

Once he sat next to Kevin, he took the beer.

Once he sat down next to his friend, Kevin took a beer from Ted.

    Thanks.

Re: Ted came back from the kitchen with a tray of beers and nachos

Once Ted sat down, Kevin took a beer [from him/from the tray].
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
