    has something appear

"It also has two different default options appear."

I am very unfamiliar with the structure used in this sentence. Can it be formalized as "have + something appear." which means: A have X and X appears/seems as something.

    Thank you.

It is about a command, ie a software. Command has two default options. I cannot be completely sure if it is correct because I listened it and makes sense to me.

    Thank you.

    Re: has something appear

It's an unusual construction, so I don't recommend trying to use it. I understand the sentence to mean It also causes two default options to appear.

    If this is right, then

have something happen = cause something to happen

    Re: has something appear

In computing, they would have to be two separate options, because a default option is one that it chosen unless you decide to make another choice, and you cannot have two of those for the same thing. The default font in a word processor is the one it will use unless you choose another font. I don't see how you could have two default fonts for a single operation.
