    Present perfect - simple past

    Which version is better in a business letter in British English:

    1) "Thank you for your letter of .... We are pleased that you have accepted our invitation."

    2) "Thank you for your letter of .... We are pleased that you accepted our invitation."

    I think that both versions are OK, but I'm not sure.
