it the movie/play/novel is about a team group .

Hi teechr, question: If a movie plot takes place below the poster, do I still need to mention "the movie/play/novel"?

Based on a true story.../ based on the true story

I can see that in the first sentence you didn't change "a" to "the" which is "Based on a true story". So, it supposed to be "Based on a or Based on the"?

You need something other than "it". Try "story" too.

It is correct as I've written it. In the first, we use "a" because we are talking about some (unspecified) story. In the second, we use "the" because we are talking about a particular story-- that of Erin Gruwell.
