Mark aimed the special light directly into the eyes of Kevin.

    Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Mark aimed the special light directly into the eyes of Kevin. In that precise moment, Kelly appeared in the living room, wearing a wedding dress, roses in her hair and makeup into her face."

    Thanks.

    See above.

    What's a "special light"?

    Dear emsr2d2:

    Thanks for your help.

Special light is a light used for special effects.

    Thanks.

So is Mark a special effects technician on the crew of a film or TV series?

    Dear emsr2d2:

Mark is planning a special event for a birthday. He will use special effects.

    Thanks.

If it's still at the planning stage, why is post #1 written in the past tense?
