    Question See eye to eye

    Hi!

I wonder where the idiom(?) "see eye to eye" is coming from
    &
is it common to use this term in these days?
    &
    what does it exactly mean?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum.

    See my changes above.

I don't know where it comes from but apparently there's an example of its use in the Bible so it's pretty old.
Yes, it's still fairly commonly used in British English.
Have you looked the phrase up online to find out the meaning? We are not here to replace a good dictionary or an internet search engine.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Not a teacher.

    Hi. found something here! http://www.thefreedictionary.com/see+eye+to+eye
If you have some other questions you can always ask me, i have tones of time, I'm sick and the only thing that I'm able to do now is to spend lots of time here, as well as searching rx discounts which is supposed to help me later with my health problems. So if you have such questions i have time to help you, to find the answers.

    Re: See eye to eye

It's still commonly used in AmE as well.
