My dear Tim, this whole thing about Kevin

    Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"My dear Tim, this whole thing about Kevin is a big opportunity for us. You love the seventh art, and after reviewing the video I believe we could achieve a perfect shot."

    Thanks.

Yes. I don't understand what a perfect shot is supposed to mean though. It sounds like something in the video convinced the writer they could create an ideal filming sequence.

And I have no idea what the seventh art is.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

"The seventh art" is the cinema. In French culture, it's a very common term. Anglophone cineastes are probably familiar with it but it would be lost on a wider audience.

Re: My dear Tim, this whole thing about Kevin

First of all, thanks for your help.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Yes. I don't understand what a perfect shot is supposed to mean though. It sounds like something in the video convinced the writer they could create an ideal filming sequence.

Yes, that was what I tried to write.

Seventh Art: Some people call cinema the seventh art.

    Thanks.
