    Does to know pain used here fit with,

    Do the above sentences convey the same idea, if would they be as natural as the original?

    Yes, and they are both more natural than the original.

    I agree. In my judgement, 1) is the most natural, 2) is okay and 3) is not at all natural.

    I don't understand what you mean. Figurative in what way? Living through is not related to learning.

    In both instances above, you used a perfect tense when you should have used the past simple.

    In the first, a more natural word order would be "I thought the original was the most natural".
    In the second, "I thought [that]" would be much better than "supposed".
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
