    trim my side hair

When you go to a hairshop and need to ask the hairdresser to cut your hair the way want, how do you say?
    1. Please trim my side hair short.
    2. Please trim (leave) my front hair long.

Do these two work or how else can you say?

    Re: trim my side hair

Trim means "cut". You can cut something shorter but not longer, so it doesn't work to ask the barber to trim your hair long. Say "I'd like the sides short/long, please" or "Please leave the sides long."
    I am not a teacher.

Ok, does it make sense to say these?

    1. I'd like the front/the back short/long, please"
    2. "Please leave the front/the back long
    3. Please trim/cut the sides/ the front/the back short/shorter.

    Re: trim my side hair

1 definitely doesn't make sense. You can't ask for any part of your hair to be "short long".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: trim my side hair

Can you ask the barber to do these more specifically?
    1. Please cut up to here(pointing to the cut point)
    2. Please cut the sides off by 1 inch.
