Is it the same to say compared to and comparing to?

    For instance:

Your result are positive compared to the results of the past year.
Your result are positive comparing to the results of the past year.

Which one is better to use?

I'd say "Your results are positive compared to those of the past year".

'Comparing to' is not possible in the original sentence, or in Rover's.

Hopefully you noticed that Rover showed you that it should be "Your results are ...". The noun and verb need to agree. In this case, the plural noun "results" goes with the third person plural verb "are".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
