    temporary meeting

At work, what do you call non-regular meetings? Is it temporary meeting/conference or does "spontaneous meeting" also work?

    Re: temporary meeting

I'd just call it a meeting.

    Re: temporary meeting

It might be called "an unscheduled meeting", "an ad hoc meeting" or "a surprise meeting".

    Re: temporary meeting

That doesn't work for me. It sounds as if the people at the meeting will be behaving in a casual manner.

    Re: temporary meeting

I like "spontaneous meeting". It sounds like a party.

Oh, we have casual Friday. I wish we had regular casual meetings. I'm all for going to a meeting in my hoodies.
