HBO channel shows Rocky movie a lot.

    1) HBO channel shows Rocky movie a lot.

    2) HBO keeps showing it every now and then but I watch it whenever it is on.

    Please check my sentences.

See above. "Keeps showing" doesn't fit with "every now and then". They suggest different levels of regularity.

A lot and every now and then are not the same.

So, can I say "They keep showing it a lot"?

"Keep" and "a lot" don't work well together. With both modifiers present, the sentence reads like HBO frequently shows the movie frequently, which is a tautology. Use one or the other.

Don't write HBO channel. If your readers are in a context where HBO is known, just write "HBO". If they aren't, write "the cable channel HBO shows...."

Okay either we can say "they show it a lot" or "they keep showing it".

Call the movie by its title. The title is Rocky. You don't need to say Rocky movie.

Re: HBO channel shows Rocky movie a lot.

As I indicated in post #2, you need to be aware that the title Rocky refers only to the first film in the franchise. If HBO are showing any of the sequels, you would need to refer to them as Rocky II/III/IV/V or (the "how on earth did they sell this to a studio?") Rocky Balboa.
