    for example

Can I say these in English?

    1. For example insurance premiums, payments to Building Society savings schemes and contributions to charities are understood as special expenses.

    Re: for example

They're both OK with a couple of adjustments:
    1) don't capitalize "building society", and
    2) in sentence 2, set off "for example" with commas.

    Re: for example

On second thought, I'd also add a comma after "example" in sentence 1.
    I am not a teacher.
