    Spiritual dishevel because of the workings of the agony of death

    The following sentence is from a Buddhist magazine.

    There are three causes of chaos of mind at the moment of death:
    1. Spiritual dishevel because of the workings of the agony of death;
    2. Spiritual dishevel because of demons;
    3. Spiritual dishevel because of emotional attachment.

    'dishevel' is a verb. Therefore, I think it should be 'dishevelment' instead.

    Thanks.

    Yes, you need the noun. Consider also using "decline."

    I agree. I've never heard dishevel used as a noun.
