    align with v. coincide

"By default, the normal will be aligned to the plane normal."

Does it mean that the normal and the plane normal coincide i.e they are coincident?

    Thank you.

    Re: align with v. coincide

The software evidently includes a way to adjust how the "normal" is aligned. The default setting aligns it to the match the normal of the plane.

It's not really possible to make sense of isolated sentences from technical texts, so I can't tell whether this means the two normals are coincident.

I am sorry I have forgotten to add the link. I was in a hurry. Here is the link: https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Ans...ches3DMod.html

So now what do you think? It's related to CAD.

    Thank you.

    Re: align with v. coincide

You should ask someone familiar with the software and its context.

Does the above more clearly mean: Any plane has a normal vector and any other plane normal ot that plane is clearly parrallel to the original.? I cannot get why you tell "depending on where it is drawn". Should not it be independent of where it is drawn? Would you please explain?

    Thank you.
