It fits better if you are in a class but is it correct for online sessions?

If I have to tell you about an online session. In which host wanted students to come forward and ask to speak or read. What should I say that host wanted students to volunteer or come forward or take the initiative?

What does host need to say? I want you to come forward or say "yes" when I ask you to do something like reading. It fits better if you are in a class but is it correct for online sessions?

    Please help me.

    A teacher might say:
    Any volunteers?
    Who'd like to read/speak now?
    And if necessary:
Come on; don't be shy! I'm still waiting.
