    Question in or at school

    at/in
    Why I can't use in School? Need to use at School.
    It's very confuses to write and understand.

    What the in/at different?
    I always used wrong, in school is wrong?

    The use of prepositions is idiomatic. There is no specific rationale behind it.

    The usual preposition is "at" in that context. However, it is possible to use "in school" in certain contexts.

    It is not used in most contexts, but it can be used sometimes. You could say that a cleaner works in a school.
