What do you mean by bet?

Q: What do you mean by bet?

A: When you put your money or other valued items at stake against someone who has contradictory opinions regarding a thing's or event's outcome this is what you call a bet.

Please check my sentences. I hope second one is not a run-on sentence.

See above. It was a run-on.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
