Arrow RE: Quick Newbie Avatar Question

    Hi folks,

I only joined here last week.

    I wanted to ask, please:

how does one upload an avatar? I can see that a few members have done so, but I can not seem to find the specific setting to perform this?

Many thank in advance for any kind assistance offered here . . .

    Best,

    Paul

Go to "Forum Actions" in the taskbar at the top. Choose "Edit Profile" then, from the menu on the left, choose "Edit Avatar". Upload one and click "Save".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Ha ha . . .

I don't know what the hell I was trying to click on before? I was kind of thinking that you may need to have your account 'approved' by a Moderator before being allowed to upload such a file?

Anyway, it worked first time following the steps kindly offered by EMS.

    Ta,

    Paul

No, accounts don't have to be approved. With some aspects of the forum (Private Messages, for example), users have to have made a minimum of ten posts before using them. The first ten posts go through moderation.

I see now, cheers. That sounds fair enough. Better to be safe than sorry!
