David prefers people with the firm point of view

I am not sure if my sentence makes sense in English or if it is sounds natural. Please would you correct my mistakes?

David prefers people with the firm point of view, even if it is opposite to his own, than those who switch sides.

David prefers people with the a firm point of view, even if it is opposite to his own, than to those who frequently/constantly switch sides/change their minds.
    See above.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
