    savings on fuel

    Hello!
The other day, a colleague of mine asked me to translate the following question into English for her.

The main purpose of the ferry’s repair is to install new drives that will be modern, more trouble-free and will generate savings on fuel.
    or
The main purpose of the ferry’s repair is to install new drives that will be modern, more trouble-free and will contribute to generating savings on fuel.
    or
The main purpose of the ferry’s repair is to install new drives that will be modern, more trouble-free and will bring about generating savings on fuel.

Could you please take a look at 'my' three versions, pying special attention to the fragment about "generating savings on fuel"?
    Thank you.

    Re: savings on fuel

The first one is better. The third one doesn't work.
“Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.”
