    If you ask non-Christian friends, Do you believe there is hell in the next world? they might perhaps say, I dont know."

    The above are my own sentences.

    Is 'perhaps' redundant?

    "Perhaps" is redundant. The use of "might" suffices.

    I don't find the question very natural with "in the next world". Wouldn't they just ask "Do you believe hell/Hell exists?"?

    It's redundant, but it's the kind of thing you will hear people using when they want to suggest a very small chance.
