    on making of award

Hi! What is the exact meaning of the words in bold? It is from a political telegram, dating back to 1953, with a special shortened style. ( I will edit the text, if disordered, after submitting it). Of course I have asked it before, but without receiving any answer. This question is very important for me.

As mentioned earlier Brits do not understand relationship of Article 2 (1) to Article 8. They note that, under redraft article 8, escrow deposits cease on making of award by ICJ.

    Thanks very much.

    Re: on making of award

It means the deposits will end after the award is made.
