Are the following acceptable?

The Internet has greatly assisted to connect with people across the world who have/share the same interests and ideas as we do.

1- You need "us" after "assisted".
2- Say "who have the same interests and ideas as we do" or "who share the same interests and ideas with us."

I got it. We can only use 'the same" with "as" .

I find "share the same x with" unnatural.

A and B have the same x as C.
A, B and C share x.
