    so adv as to

The prime minister has chosen his words ---- carefully ---- be understood clearly.

    A. enough / to
    B. so / that
    C. enough / as to
    D. so / as to
    E. such / to

The answer to this question is D. I know that so as to is the same with in order to. However, can we use so+adverb+ as to V1 ?

    Thanks for your contributions

    Re: so adv as to

It's OK, but I would prefer 'carefully so as to'
