    airline (vocabulary)

    Hi,

I am going to say that "In my country, airline is not as safe as it should be". What the appropriate words, phrases or sentences are?
I am not sure how much my sentence is correct.

    Thanks.

    Re: airline (vocabulary)

You are writing about the airline or airlines that operate in your country. You should say My country's airline(s) is (are) not as safe as it (they) should be.

Always invert the subject and verb when you ask a question. Always put a space after a comma. Write: What are the appropriate words, (space) phrases or sentences?

I am not sure how much correct my sentence is. correct. Note that you can't really say "how correct" something is. Something is either correct or it's not.)

    Thanks.
    First, see my corrections above.

Change "airline" to "air travel" and your sentence will be OK.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

I should say: "I am not sure whether my sentence is correct or not."

See above. You need "whether" if you want to mention both possibilities: I'm not sure whether my sentence is correct or not. With "whether", adding "or not" at the end is optional.

    Re: airline (vocabulary)

I think another option would be: "Aviation safety in my country is not as good as it should be."

Air travel may be OK if you fly the right airline. I would think twice before I boarded an Aeroflot flight.
Besides all of the problems mentioned above, there has been several deadly plane crashes. That's why it is not so safe, and we have to choose other countries' airlines, which costs too much money.
