The prime minister turned overnight from

I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct. I have used "fortified tower" and "rickety shed" symbolically.

The prime minister turned overnight from a fortified tower into a rickety shed. Without friends and allies, she cuts a lonely figure, vulnerable and doomed to downfall.

It's fine. In fact, I rather like it.

(I wonder who "she" could be! )
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Nice. (I wonder who inspired you to create this example!)

By the way, you haven't used those phrases "symbolically", but metaphorically.

(Edit: Once again, emsr2d2 got there before me!)

    jutfrank,

Honestly, nobody inspired me to write the above sentence. I just like to read all kinds of books, and I listen to the UK radio every day in order to know what is happening in the UK politics and other spheres of life. I am just trying to express myself so that a reader gets a picture in his mind, which would lead him or her to their own associations and thoughts.

I think jutfrank was asking the same question as I was (sarcastically, since we both know exactly who it's about).

    emsr2d2,

I apologise for misunderstanding jutfrank's question. I read his post quickly without thinking what he actually meant.

Yes, well, you've obviously done a good job. emsr2d2 and I had identical associations and then identical reactions.

Re: The prime minister turned overnight from

You might want to consider placing overnight at the end of the sentence.
