    Tolerance of/towards

Tolerance of/towards difference in views should be encouraged.

Can both ‘to’ and ‘towards’ be used? Both sounds fine to me.
Or is there a context where one if preferred over the other?

    Thank you!

You need to show some tolerance towards each other.
