The well-known rock band started its tour

I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

The well-known rock band started its tour with a free concert at an old people's home. It was its way to thank the faithful, old fans, some of who were just a few years older than the members of the band.

Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

The comma after "faithful" doesn't belong there.
