Please help me make the conversation below sound natural. Thanks a lot.

T: It is well known that Denmark is a sport loving country in Europe. What are the most common sports played in your country?

D: Football is the most common and popular sport played in Denmark, and it’s our national sport. Currently there are nearly 300,000 players and 1,614 clubs registered with the Danish Football Association. Denmark has qualified for the European Championships in football six times from 1984 to 2004 and took the 1992 title by beating Germany 2-0. Our best FIFA World Cup result was achieved in 1998, when we almost won the quarter-finals against Brazil. Other popular sports are golf, swimming, gymnastics, handball, and badminton.

Do you want it to sound natural as some kind of interview for a TV show or newspaper, or do you want it to sound natural as if it were just a conversation between friends?

T: It is well known that Denmark is a sport loving country in Europe. What are the most common sports played in your country?
T: Apparently, sport's really big in Denmark. What sports do you guys play most?

D: Football is the most common and popular sport played in Denmark, and it’s our national sport.
D: Football's most popular. Actually, it's the national sport.

Currently there are nearly 300,000 players and 1,614 clubs registered with the Danish Football Association.
Thousands of people play and the Danish FA's got about 1600 clubs.

Denmark has qualified for the European Championships in football six times from 1984 to 2004 and took the 1992 title by beating Germany 2-0.
We qualified for the European Championships six times in twenty years and we beat Germany in the final in '92!

Our best FIFA World Cup result was achieved in 1998, when we almost won the quarter-finals against Brazil.
We even nearly beat Brazil in the quarters of the '98 World Cup!

Other popular sports are golf, swimming, gymnastics, handball, and badminton.
People play golf, handball, badminton and do swimming and gymnastics too.

I have taken each sentence of your dialogue and indicated what a natural, casual chat between friends would sound like in the UK. People don't chat in full, formal sentences and they don't have exact figures and statistics like yours at their fingertips.
