    stairstep gables

Please help me make the conversation below sound natural as some kind of interview for a TV show or newspaper. Thanks a lot.

T: To my knowledge, even though Denmark is a small country with only 5.6 million people, it has a fascinating and rich history to tell. In spite of its small size, several Danes have become world renowned. For example, Niels Bohr is probably the best-known Danish physicist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for physics in 1922. Take another example, many people know the fairy tale about the ugly duckling that grew into a beautiful swan. This is just one of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, many of which are loved by children and adults alike all over the world. By the way, would you please introduce the geography of Denmark?

D: Sure. Nestled between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, Denmark is a land of diverse landscape and beauty. With some 450 islands, it has one of the longest coastline in Europe. Denmark is relatively flat with no big mountains to climb, and its highest point being no more than 173 meters above sea level. In Denmark you will find that the distance between places is not far. Clean beaches and green forests are rarely more than a half hourīs drive away. The Danish landscape, with rolling hills, thatched-roof farmhouses, beech forests, and whitewashed churches with stairstep gables, still has a medieval Viking charm to it.
