    We normally stay at school for a minimum of sixteen years if we start from L.K.G

    We normally stay at school for a minimum of sixteen years if we start from L.K.G. (L.K.G, U.K.G, Nursery, Prep and then 1st, 2nd ans so on up to 12th.)

    Please check my sentence.

    As punctuated, it's two sentences. The first ends with the first instance of "L.K.G." If you want the parenthetical remark to be part of the first sentence, you have to put the final period ("full stop" in BrE) outside of the closing parenthesis ("bracket" in BrE).

    With the corrections noted in the previous post, they're both OK if you count the parenthetical remark as a non-sentence list. If you move the period to the outside of the closing quotation mark you'll have one correct sentence.

    I don't know what L.K.G. and U.K.G. are ("lower" and "upper kindergarten"?), but I assume they're the starting grades of schools in India.
