Could someone please tell me If both sentences are correct? If not then, which one is correct and why?
1.I slept watching t.v.
2.I slept while watching t.v.
Thanks in advance.

I fell asleep (while) watching TV.

I agree with you Piscean I fell asleep while I was watching TV. While I was watching TV I fell asleep.
Or we can use the non-finite ( watched TV, I fell asleep)

Not a teacher

Note: Both [STRIKE]the[/STRIKE] sentences have slightly different meanings and yes, both are correct.

I[no comma here] am not a teacher.

I agree with you, Piscean: I fell asleep while I was watching TV. While I was watching TV I fell asleep.

Or we can use the non-finite ( [STRIKE]watched TV, I fell asleep[/STRIKE]). No, we can't!

Not a teacher
Don't forget to add 'Not a teacher'.

Not satisfied. Please read my question carefully please. All these answers don't belong to my question completely. I want to know which one is correct and why? And why? I want reason please. Why can't I use slept as a past(v2) form of verb? Why to use fell asleep? And what is difference in both sentences I mean with & without while? Please explain it well. I'd be grateful to you. Thanks.
