    I get lost

a windsurfer with a reputation among women is saying that actually he changed and focuses more on his sport now.

"I'm trying to be serious and not go out too often. I made a decision I prefer to win and I get lost if I seem to be a party animal".

does it mean that it's too bad if he is still considered a party animal but nevermind, he's here to focus on the competition?

    Re: I get lost

I think it means that he loses his way and lacks direction.
