    Instructions for the exercise

    Exercise video:
    https://youtu.be/3SRO7IQNHFI

    Instructions for the exercise:

    Starting Position
Sit upright on the ground with your arms crossed and knees bent. Lift your feet off the ground.

    Step 1
Twist so that your left elbow touches your right knee, then twist the other way so that your right elbow touches your left knee.

    Step 2
Go back and forth, without lowering your legs.

    How To Change Sides
Alternate sides after each rep. Both sides must be exercised to count one rep towards the goal.
    -----------------
    My questions:

    1. what does 'Change Sides' mean?

    Does it mean this:
Twist so that your left elbow touches your right knee, (Change Sides) then twist the other way so that your right elbow touches your left knee.

    2. what does 'each rep' mean?

    a. When my left elbow (or right elbow) touches my right knee (or left knee), it counts one rep.

    b. when my left elbow touches my right knee and twist the other way so that my right elbow touches my left knee, it counts one rep.

    3. what does 'Both sides must be exercised to count one rep' mean?

Does it mean 'Both sides must be exercised and individually counted one rep', or 'Both sides must be exercised and totally counted one rep'?

    Thanks!

PS I also posted the same question in this, but all of your answers are unique to me. Thank you.

Each time you complete one cycle of the exercise, you can count one repetition ("rep").

    Re: Instructions for the exercise

    Here is my understanding:

    1. When my left elbow (or right elbow) touches my right knee (or left knee), it counts as one rep.

    2. Alternate sides after each rep.

    3. Both sides must be exercised, and each side counts as one rep individually.

    4. One cycle of the exercise means every time when my left elbow (or right elbow) touches my right knee (or right knee), and it counts as one rep.

    Is my understanding correct? Thanks!

I don't hang out in gyms but I would understand a rep to require touching both knees. What you describe would be half a rep.

    Re: Instructions for the exercise

If a rep to require touching both knees, I don't understand what it means:

    How To Change Sides
Alternate sides after each rep. Both sides must be exercised to count one rep towards the goal.

Because when my left elbow touches my right knee and twist the other way so that my right elbow touches my left knee (and then it counts one rep), how can I 'Change Sides'?

    Re: Instructions for the exercise

Do one rep (touching both sides) starting in one direction, and when you have touched both sides, start the next rep the other way, so if you started with your right elbow to your left knee, start the next rep (after two touches) with your left elbow. (Right-left, left-right = one rep, then do left-right, right-left, etc)
